What exactly is a clue report?? Middle Tennessee has been hit by numerous storm systems in recent years which has caused an increased concern on behalf of consumers purchasing a home.

Fortunately, the insurance industry uses several methods to detect when a claim has been reported from potential damage to an insurance company. One of the methods is to pull a clue report. Clue reports allow a potential new homeowner to determine if a claim has been reported on the home being purchased. In the state of Tennessee the majority of insurance companies will report previously reported claims for up to 5 years.  This history can determine the eligibility of obtaining insurance on the previously damaged property. A buyer purchasing a home can contact me during their home inspection contingency period. I can pull the clue report for them so that the buyer can know the insurance claim history of their soon to be home.
