In a down market I hear that exact statement a lot. What is amazing to me is that we have historically low home prices right now AND historically low interest rates. This translates into the best time to buy in OUR LIFETIME. With hindsight, people will be asking themselves why they chose not to buy right now.

Why when it was a seller’s market did everyone want to jump into the market and buy? People were competing to buy! Right now the market is wide open to buyers. When I am told that, “we would buy but think we are just going to rent for a while.” I tell them that everyone is buying, even renters. The renters are just buying that house or condo for their landlord. Houses are more affordable right now then they ever will be–if you are stable in your job….why wouldn’t you take advantage of this market?
